Community Rules

These Community Rules are part of our Terms of Service. By playing Shiplanet you agree to follow them. They exist so the game stays fun and safe for everyone, and they are enforced.

We have zero tolerance for abusive, hateful, or predatory behaviour. We can mute, suspend, or permanently ban any account, and remove any content, at our discretion and without warning where the situation calls for it. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse for breaking it.

• You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Keep your password to yourself.
• Do not share, sell, buy, rent, or trade accounts. Accounts are not property and have no cash value.
• One person, one identity. Do not impersonate other players, staff, or Shiplanet.
• Ban evasion is not allowed. Creating a new account to get around a mute or ban extends the penalty to every account and device involved.

The following will get you removed, and the most serious cases are permanent and reported:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or trying to make someone feel unsafe.
• Hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected group.
• Sexual content, sexual harassment, or any sexual contact with, or content involving, minors. This is an immediate permanent ban, and where the law requires it, we report it to the authorities.
• Encouraging self-harm, sharing violent or graphic content, or celebrating real-world harm.
• Sharing anyone's private information (doxxing), including your own if you are under age.

Everything you type, name, or build is visible to others and counts as your content. The rules in section 3 apply to all of it: chat and private messages, planet names, sign, door, and portal text, bulletin posts, gift messages, your builds, and your ShipID.

• No spam, flooding, or advertising, and no links to scams, malware, or other games and services.
• No attempts to dodge the chat filter (deliberate misspellings, spacing, or symbols to sneak a banned word through).
• No sexual, hateful, or shocking builds, names, or drawings. Keep it appropriate for a 13+ audience.

• No cheating, hacking, bots, macros, auto-clickers, or any third-party tool that automates play or gives an unfair advantage.
• No exploiting bugs. If you find one, report it and stop using it. Abusing a bug, especially one that duplicates items or diamonds, is treated as an attack on the economy.
• We reverse gains made by cheating or exploiting, and the accounts involved are banned. We are not obligated to refund anything lost in the process.
• No interfering with the servers, other players' connections, or the game's security.

Trades between players are final. Think before you confirm. We do not reverse a trade just because you changed your mind or made a bad deal.

• No real-money trading. Do not buy or sell in-game items, diamonds, planets, or accounts for real money or for anything outside the game. These deals are banned, and both sides risk losing their accounts.
• Scamming another player through a bug or exploit is a bannable offence. A fair trade where someone simply overpaid is not.
• Fraudulent purchases and chargebacks lead to an immediate ban and the removal of anything they paid for.

Depending on what you did and how serious it is, we may warn, mute, suspend, permanently ban, or block the devices tied to an account. We decide which applies, and we are not required to warn you first. Serious offences skip straight to a permanent ban.

These rules are not a complete list of everything that can get you actioned. If you are acting in obviously bad faith or trying to ruin the game for others, we can act on it even if it is not spelled out here.

If someone breaks these rules, use the in-game Report button, and Block them so you stop seeing their messages. Reports are reviewed, and we act on them. Filing false or spam reports to harass someone is itself a rule break.

If you believe a penalty on your account was a mistake, you can appeal it from our appeal page. Enforcement decisions stand unless an appeal shows we got it wrong.
